Asset Compliance Standards
Azarias Books maintains a high-fidelity acquisition pipeline. To ensure immediate settlement and market integrity, all inbound inventory is audited against the standardized compliance protocols outlined below.
Standard Condition
Units meeting these criteria are processed for immediate capital release.
- Structural Integrity: Binding is tight and original. No hinge separation.
- Metadata: Physical ISBN matches the digital manifest exactly.
- Text Fidelity: Pages are clean. Highlighting is limited to < 20% of text.
- Components: Includes all original media (CDs, codes) required by the ISBN.
Automatic Interdiction
Assets exhibiting these defects are ineligible for acquisition:
- Liquid Damage: Any signs of moisture, wavy pages, or stains.
- Structural Failure: Broken spines, detached covers, or loose pages.
- Workbooks: Any physical notations or completed exercises.
- Edition Conflict: International, Instructor, or "Not for Resale" variants.
- Omissions: Missing dust jackets (if issued), covers, or internal pages.
Counterfeit Interdiction Policy
Azarias Books utilizes high-resolution metadata verification to detect unauthorized replicas.
Protocol: Items identified as counterfeit will be CONFISCATED and DESTROYED per industry security standards. To protect market health, no payment will be issued and units will not be returned.
Audit & Settlement
Valuations are contingent on physical QA. If a genuine asset is rejected for condition:
- The asset payout is adjusted to $0.00.
- Return shipping is not covered by Azarias.
- A prepaid return manifest must be provided within 14 days.
- Unclaimed assets are recycled following the 14-day hold period.
Inbound Logistics Standard
Transit damage is the provider's responsibility. To maintain asset value:
- Utilize double-walled corrugated containers for high-density loads.
- Apply void-fill to prevent internal kinetic movement during transit.
- Reinforce all seams with H-pattern industrial packing tape.
Standardized Grading Guarantee
Azarias Books uses ISO-aligned industry guidelines. While our structural standards are rigid, we apply reasonable tolerance for standard shelf wear on "Compliant" units. Our goal is high-velocity, transparent partnership.
